What Is A Fluidized Zone Mixer & How Does It Mix Powders So Quickly?
The PerMix PFB series Twin Shaft Fluidized Zone Mixer is an aggressive, high-efficiency mixer with no/low shearing, capable of mixing the most with fragile materials.
The Twin Shaft Paddle Mixer is capable of preparing a homogeneous mixture despite of particle size, shape and density, and is able to achieve very fast, high capacity, thorough, precision mixing of either dry bulk solids or solid with liquid. It is different than most mixers, such as a ribbon mixer, as they mix in the trough. Fluidized Zone Mixers mix in the upper void space of the trough. The paddle grabs ahold of the ingredients and “fling” them into the air with enough velocity that it creates a “fluidized zone” where the densities of ingredients do not matter.
The mixer can reach to the final homogeneous material within 40-60 sec. and discharge within ~20 sec. to reach a total cycle time of up to 3 min.
